Kitumbeine Mountain
A Remote Wilderness of Foothills and Valleys
Kitumbeine Mountain in an enormous, rugged mountain with a unique ecosystem. An extinct volcano sitting at an alititude of 2871m, it is one of the few places in the world where huge densities of cape buffalo roam in the ‘mist forests’ on top of the mountain. A mountain Buffalo hunt is the ultimate adventure hunt, the real deal.
It is also home to some of the most enormous mountain leopards found in Africa, as well as having excellent habitat for Greater Kudu, Eland, Masai Bushbuck, Bush pig and Mountain Reedbuck.
This is an adventure for the out-going and physically fit, as the entire hunt is done on foot (there are no cars involved). Days are spent hiking up and down steep inclines from the moment you leave camp at dawn, until returning at dusk.
This hunt appeals to those that love mountain hunting worldwide.
